About Me: Alana Wenick, L&D Specialist
Using Data Analysis to Create and Facilitate Engaging Experiences for a Diverse Set of Learners
Hi! My name is Alana Wenick, and I am an enthusiastic learning and development professional with a decade of experience in instructional materials creation, eLearning development, and assessment design. I am passionate about all aspects of learning, but have a unique knack for using data analysis to create and facilitate research-supported, meaningful learning solutions for organizational challenges. I also enjoy designing and facilitating for individuals from diverse backgrounds to create accessible learning experiences for all. I use learning strategies and practices such as ADDIE, the Understanding by Design (Backward Design) framework, and SAM.
I began my career in Education as part of the NYC Teaching Collaborative Program, a program designed to effect change in the city’s highest-need schools. I am passionate about educational equity and creating quality learning opportunities for all. I excel at designing and facilitating learning materials with multiple entry points and assessment options, so that learners from all backgrounds and at all learning levels can succeed.
In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking, and travel (particularly with my oft-misbehaved Beagle mix, Archie). Additionally, and possibly most importantly, I am on an endless search for Philly's best breakfast sandwich. The mission continues.
